Flora Europaea perennial, H mesic, a meadow-steppe grassland and woodland species from the forest-steppe areas. Pontic Arrhenatheretalia as it can be seen around the forests Spataru and Crangu near Buzau; it is a halotolerant species not a halophyle one of Puccinelietalia as suggested by various authors; also in Fraxino pallisae-Quercetum pedunculiflorae R38 mesic habitats from the forest-steppe, R4409       A pink from the Pontic forest-steppe mesic meadows of Moldavia and eastern Valachia, a type of habitat which mainly remained locally sheltered within the open woodlands preserved there.
